Hello! It has been lovely to see what you have been doing this week and well done to everyone that received a 'Star of the Week' for staying safe at home. I am sure each of you will get one!
This Week's learning Tasks
For this weeks learning tasks the focus is learning how to weigh and measure through baking cakes. Then we can try to design our own cakes by adding chocolate sprinkles and other decorations.
Here are some ideas for recipes to try baking your own cakes.
I hope you have all had a good week! It has been great seeing and hearing what you have been doing. Please keep sending in pictures and keeping in touch. This week we are still following the Social Studies/IDL Topic of learning about countries in the world. Please choose a reading book that you enjoy and then ask an adult to ask you questions about the book. In Mathematics, practise saying your times table out loud, write them down and then ask an adult to test you. You can test them too!
I am really pleased to see and hear how you have all been over the last week. Here is some new learning activities for this week. I am looking forward to seeing how you get on.

We have a learning routine in school. Having a routine keep us safe. Here is an example to help you.
You do not have to do the same routine, or you could follow a similar one that we do in school.
Exercise
Exercise keeps us fit and strong. You can find a lot of videos online and Mr Keans has a blog. Here is one that we do in class.
We all have different ways of dealing with our feelings. The most important think is to try and talk to someone that you trust and say how you feel. You have heard me say ‘Name to Tame’ the feeling before our feelings become scary like a tiger. π
Some of us like to have lots of cuddles and some of us do not. That’s okay! We all have different ways of comforting ourselves. As I said, you may have a favourite teddy π§Έ or π¦ toy π¦ that we can use to cuddle, to make us feel better. It may be a voice (our parents, brothers, sisters and so on), a song, a smell, a photo, a piece of clothing. It may be lots of things or just one thing.
Send me a picture of something that makes you feel better!
On this blog you will find teaching resources and similar learning that we would do in class. I'll also share video and links that we currently use and that the children are familiar with. I'll choose learning tasks suitable for all the children, with a range of differentiation to support all learning within the class.
